Leaders representing departments or other programs in the mathematical and statistical sciences join the COME-In community based on their commitment to transformational change.
COME-In provides a community in which participants from different institutions celebrate each other's successes, help each other stay accountable and on-track, and brainstorm solutions to challenges. We provide a variety of resources to support these transformational journeys.

Transformational change doesn't have to fix everything all at once. Some small changes can make a big difference and can build momentum toward further change. COME-In helps leaders identify those initial changes that are attainable and consequential and that set the stage for a path for broader transformation.
The Transformation Team
A COME-In Team Lead convenes a team of local stakeholders to support their transformation process.
Each Team Lead is paired with a trained external Transformation Partner as a consultant throughout the transformation process. The Team Lead and Transformation Partner meet regularly to review progress and challenges and develop strategies for change.
The Cycle of Transformation
Effective transformation begins with an assessment of local conditions as part of a cycle of evidence-based strategic planning and change.
COME-In teams collect and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to help them understand their challenges and opportunities for growth, create actionable goals, and regularly assess progress.
COME-In teams collect and interpret local quantitative and qualitative data to help them understand their challenges and opportunities for growth. COME-In provides tools and supports to help teams identify available data and to gather new data to help support the teams' local concerns and goals.
Strategic Planning
Based on an understanding of local conditions and challenges, and with input from their Transformation Partners, Teams develop short, medium, and long term SMART Goals. They then develop action plans, implement strategic projects, and assess their progress.
This webinar provided an overview of the COME-In process and tools, as well as information on how to become part of the COME-In community.
